For more than 25 years, we have constantly been a key partner in the field of industrial effluent treatment. We design and manufacture tailor-made effluent treatment solutions allowing our customers to anticipate regulatory constraints. Our final goal is to guide customers reaching “zero liquid discharge” whenever possible and reuse totally the industrial effluents in their process.
Water management is a great challenge, especially in a context as isolated and sensitive as ships and offshore structures. FAR Water has developed oily water separators, approved under IMO MARPOL 107 (49) for the treatment of oily waters allowing discharge under 5 ppm (mg/l) of hydrocarbons. These separators use tangential filtration technology, ensuring total efficiency including in the context of extremely high hydrocarbon content, and also in the presence of stable emulsion.
This technology has been designed and developed aiming to meet the constraints of the marine environment (compactness, resistance to elements, low maintenance etc.)
FAR Water now equips most of the military ships of the French Navy and also merchant marine worldwide.
