Bilge Water

Water management is a great challenge, especially in a context as isolated and sensitive as ships and offshore structures. FAR Water has developed oily water separators, approved under IMO MARPOL 107 (49) for the treatment of oily waters allowing discharge under 5 ppm (mg/l) of hydrocarbons.  These separators use tangential filtration technology, ensuring total efficiency including in the context of extremely high hydrocarbon content, and also in the presence of stable emulsion.

This technology has been designed and developed aiming to meet the constraints of the marine environment (compactness, resistance to elements, low maintenance etc.)

FAR Water now equips most of the military ships of the French Navy  and also merchant marine worldwide.

Mechanical & Automotive industry

Oily Emulsion and Surface Treatment Industrial Wastewater

The mechanical and automotive industries require significant quantities of water in their manufacturing process. Water is used either for rinsing, washing, surface treatment, forming fluids, coolants, cutting oils etc…

FAR Water has developed a process reaching all the customers requirements to handle its polluted effluents.

In most of the cases, the active ingredient is maintained almost entirely in the treated effluent to allow full recycling with savings in water and detergent.

Moreover our solution is highly competitive in comparison to vacuum evaporator, specifically in energy consumption and in maintenance and operation (cleaning in particular).

Textile and Garment Industry and Leather Industry

Industrial and Process Wastewater

Water consumption has become a major issue in the textile and garment industry.

Water is used at all stages of production in this industry, making it a major consumer, in a context of limited water resources.

The constraints specific to leather tanneries have led to the development of specific treatment processes aiming to remove heavy metals.

FAR Water has also developed a specific process to eliminate micropollutants and reusing the treated water in the production process.

Fire Training

Waste Water

FAR Water offers mobile solutions to come and treat your fire extinguishing test water on site. Tested many times, our solutions are robust, easy to implement and more competitive than processing solutions on external entities.

Mining Industry

Acid Mine Drainage and Closed Mines Leachate

Thanks to the specificity of its type of membranes, FAR Water can treat effluents containing heavy metals under very wide pH conditions. Furthermore, heavy metals removals capacities are such that on one or two stages, depending on the type of metals , we can achieve retaining a great variety of heavy metals. Our operation excludes using a physical- chemical unit and all related operational and consumable costs. In a nutshell, we offer a compact, resilient and labor-efficient solution, the main consumable of being electrical energy.

Waste Management

Hazardous liquid waste

In comparison to other technologies, Membrane filtration generates a limited amount of liquid waste. FAR Water assists you in the qualification of your liquid waste and looks for the most relevant treatment option. The values of FAR Water lead us to consider first material or energy recovery solutions.

Waste management will always be in compliance with the current regulations while trying to maintain a balance between technical, economical and environmental aspects.

Oil & Gas Industry

Upstream and Downstream contaminated Waste Water

The oil and gas industry is subject to major environmental constraints. FAR Water has developed units  to meet both upstream and downstream discharge standard.

The technologies developed by FAR allows an excellent water / hydrocarbon separation, whatever the concentration, the physical condition (emulsion …), but also the elimination of metals, and dissolved salts.
